*What do I do if I feel my test scores did not place me correctly? 

Students who feel that their LCP Math Tool, ACT or SAT scores may not be accurate, may contact their major advisor to take the appropriate placement option. After the LCP Math Tool is complete, all answers are immediately cleared. 

*How many Questions are on the test?

The LCP Math Tool has 25 multiple choice questions total

*Can you use your own calculator or is one provided by the tool?

You can use your own calculator but be aware that most math/stat courses at UNM do not use calculators. 

*What Math material is covered and assessed on the test?

The LCP Math Tool covers topics from Intermediate Algebra through Pre-Calc and Trig. Correct answers to questions at a certain math level determines the final score/placement. 

*What Math classes can I place into using the LCP Math Tool?

Foundational Math, Intermediate Algebra, Intro to Stats, Survey of Math, Math for Teachers I, College Algebra, Pre-Calc, Trig, Applications of Calc I, and Calc I.
